Denise ADOPTED

Denise was found with a scar on her head. The most probably she was hit by something when she was still on the street with her mum and it resulted in an open wound. Fortunately she survived but she has a big scar on her head and most probably the fur will not grow there. Will someone want to give her a home regardless this scar? She is a sweet and friendly puppy, 3-4 months old, she would be grateful to have a home.

More 7 puppies abandoned: ADOPTED!

Bianca received an sms from 925595950 about abandoning 7 puppies on the side of the road near our shelter: 7 puppies left like this in a paper box, wet, dirty, hungry, scared.  It is unbelievable what people can do! Abandon and send an sms! The puppies are 6 weeks. Now they are vacinated, dewormed and available for adoption.

Flor (adopted)

Flor was found near a school with a broken leg. She has already been operated and will be just fine.


We are looking for someone to adopt her and give her a nice home. Flor was living on the streets but she is a very sweet and submissive cat. We simply cannot put her back on the streets.

Cats waiting for a Christmas miracle: Still Sebastião and Anita left!

At this moment Bianca has many adult cats, all social and gentle, waiting for their opportunity to be adopted.
Sebastião had a broken leg, but by now he has fully recovered and is living in a cage... He is a sweet gentle cat who needs a home.
Riscas was abandoned at the vet, he is also living in a cage, waiting for someone to adopt him. He is s beautiful sweet yellow cat.
Tareca was found with an open wound on her chin: we don't know what caused it but she was also treated and now is living in a cage, even a smaller cage than the Riscas and Sebastião. Tareca is very gentle and also needs a home.
The beautiful Carmelinda is living in a dog cage - we are running out of cat cages... She is super gentle.
Anita was a little bit wild in the beginning, but now is submissive. What shall we do? We don't want to leave her on the streets again, seeing that she is becoming gentle and she could be very well in a home. Leaving on the street would be heart breaking. Also leaving her to stay in a cage. So?
We have to find a space for Mel soon, because she will came back from the vet, and today another cat was found in the port of Sesimbra and delivered to Bianca: a gentle female cat with an open leg fracture.
We urgently need adoptions and foster families for adult cats.

Margarida

Margarida was found laying on the side of the road and from what we have heard, she had been lying there for several days... She had two broken bones and the head of the femur dislocated and another fracture in the articulation of the front leg.

She will need several surgeries to be able to walk again.

We can only imagine waht this animal has suffered - laying on the side of the road for serval days with broken legs, without anyone paying attention to her. And yet, when we took her, she was so sweet, so submissive, so grateful.
Animals cannot feel? Cannot suffer? Yes, they can - they suffer in silence, they don't complain, write petitions, make demonstrations, go on strike! They need our help. We will try to save Margarida and give her a good life she has never had.....

 

Estrela ADOPTED

Estrela was abandoned at Bianca's shelter at nightfall, between 17h30 and 19h. She had on her neck a plastic collar with a chain, exactly the same that Caramelo had when he was abandoned at Bianca a few weeks before. Someone is getting rid of his dogs one by one at the same place?
Estrela is pure breed Perdigueira. She is in a really bad condition though: extremely skinny and has broken leg. Like all Perdigueiros, Estrela is very sweet and gentle - you can see on the photos how submissive she is. But you can also see she is in pain.

Help us treat Estrela and then help us find a good home for her, home that she deserves.
